APTUS Ltd. makes a middle-class home intelligent

'APTUS Ltd. Oy' produce and market affordable yet intelligent building automation systems. Their focus is to improve security and comfort, and to reduce energy consumption in ordinary, middle-class homes.

Their products cover a range of ethernet-based entertainment- and information systems (such as ethernet-audio) and a control system to control lighting, heating, and burglar alarms. The control system is based on Linet network, thus allowing low end-user pricing, and easy set-up and upgrade. The control system operates either as stand-alone, or is connected to in-house ethernet, thus allowing comprehensive remote operability via Internet.

Markku Peittola, Aptus Ltd.: 'We develop home automation systems based on ethernet and Linet networks. This technological background is a perfect combination of scalability, reliability, and affordability. We are the company that brings intelligent home automation systems within the reach of volume-orientated middle-class markets, e.g. pre-fabricated houses.'

APTUS will introduce it's range of home automation products in spring 2001.
