Aptus, a Linet customer since 2000, has been running ahead with full lights on! 

A comprehensive and modern, yet affordable and reliable, Home Automation system is the main Aptus offering. This product attracts a good amount of interest among home builders who want to have a flexible light control system, energy-saving heating and an alarm system in one easy-to-operate control system. It is no wonder the Aptus product is gaining a significant share of the small house Home Automation segment in Finland. 

Their most recent achievement, however, has been the sale and successful installation of light control systems in the new Cultivator II Building of the Helsinki Business and Science Park. The site is a very demanding, hi-tech building for biotech companies. 
The new business centre and incubator, Cultivator II, was completed in April 2003. Cultivator II provides offices, laboratory facilities and a modern GMP pilot plant in the 3 floor building with a total floor space of 13000 square meters

The visible side of the Linet-based system consists of c. 500 modules of 4-button light switches. All in all, more than 3000 Linet nodes and close to 30 Linet Controllers are installed in the building. As user needs,  room allocations and tenants change, the lighting configurations can always be updated immediately - and without specialized tools - to reflect the new requirements.

This was an important win for the very pleased Aptus, as it clearly demonstrates that you can succeed with Linet-based applications and products, even in the Office and Industrial Building Automation market segments where hard competition from the likes of LON and EIB is being met.

Next target for Aptus: remote control and monitoring applications!
