Delcon is a company producing industrial quality solid state interface relays. A versatile range of their relays will be compatible with Linet network systems.
 
To deliver the above, Delcon produces DIN-rail mounting base (similar to their conventional mounting bases) equipped with an internal Linet node and a configuration pushbutton. The new Linet-base is compatible with all Delcon's input relays (except the overload protected AC input relay) and a range of AC and DC output relays.
 
To connect these relays, only four wires are used - two wires for polarity free Linet network twisted pair cable connection, two for the load output or input. As all relays share the same network cable, the quantity and cost for control cabling can be reduced by up to 99 %. This leads to smaller system size and weight and better upgradeability, when compared with conventional hard-wired control systems.
 
All the benefits of Linet networking still apply - it is a low cost, easy-to-use local operational network system, offering excellent reliability and real-time communication. Linet can be used for either discrete control systems, or connected as a low cost sub-network to factory ethernet, or other information systems.
 
These relays are available for all system integrators and OEM users of Linet technology through Delcon's sales network. They form a ready-to-use hardware for interfacing to different voltages and currents found in industry or building automation. The availability of these relays is also good news to Linet IC node users, who wish to use commercially available hardware whenever possible.
