The standard software shipped with the Linet LIC03 series network controller now includes a useful software loader tool, which allows the system software and operating system of the controller to be upgraded on-site. The tools required for this are a PC computer, a serial cable connection from the PC to the Linet LIC03 controller, and a terminal application equipped with XMODEM protocol running on the PC.

Software upgrades and bug fixes may now be easily distributed via the Internet and loaded onto a Linet LIC03 series controller. The latest controller software may be downloaded free of charge from Linet's web-site www.linet-network.com/html/solutions.html.

Previous LIC03 controllers, running software version 6.0, should be dispatched to Linet if they need to be upgraded. Companies wishing to do so should contact us, or the nearest representative.
