| The new Linet network node - a versatile solution for various control
applications
Linet - Light Control Network is an easy and inexpensive local operational network used to control simple devices - relays, heaters, sensors, etc. - in small control and slow data networks. Typical applications include lighting control systems, various remote control and alarm systems, and home automation. THE LN1003 IS NOW AVAILABLE!The LN1003 is the new generation network node IC for the Linet Light Control Network. There are several enhancements that make the LN1003 very competitive as your embedded device-level control networking solution. The LN1003 extends the application range of Linet control network technology by confirming to industrial temperature range requirements. In addition, the total length of the network cabling is now extended to c. 1.000meters. The LN1003 provides even better cost-per-node performance with a built-in EEPROM. The SSOP28 packaging ensures an even easier inclusion into a design. Major changes between the LN1003 and the earlier families of nodes are as follows: - VDD output changed to 3,3 V - Number of external components reduced. - No external EEPROM required. - SSOP28 package (the hybrid is pin compatible with LIN02). - The node reaches industrial temperature range (-40 - +85C). The LN1003 family of nodes is downwards compatible with LIN02 and LIN01 nodes. A Linet network may contain any mix of these nodes. The LN1003 is available as an IC and as a hybrid. The hybrid is pin-compatible with the earlier LIN02-1 hybrid. …And a New Controller to support the New Node! THE LIC04 AND THE LN2007 ARE NOW AVAILABLE! Linet introduces the new Linet Network Controller LIC04 to fully support the new features of the new generation network node LN1003. The core of the Linet Controller is now integrated into a Linet Controller IC LN2007. This IC is available for easier design into customer product designs. The LN2007 is also available as fully functioning stand-alone Linet Controller Card LIC04. The LIC04 functions as the processor driving the network, providing power for the node ICs, performing and storing of the configuration of the network. The Controller provides also the gateways to other systems, via the Ethernet and the serial port connections. The LIC04 supports networks with a total cable length of up to 1.000 meters and even beyond with specific configuratons . The products available from Linet are the nodes and the controllers. The node is the network adapter connected to the devices to be controlled via the network. The controller acts as a combined power supply, communications host and set-up tool in the system. Linet offers both nodes and controllers in two versions, as an 'IC' or a 'hybrid'. The IC is targeted for customers in high volume production. The hybrid card version can be used by customers in the product development or single/small volume early production.
